KOAH Chiropractic is committed to making koahchiropractic.com usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, use screen magnification, or rely on other assistive technology. Accessibility is part of the same commitment to equal access that we make in our Anti-Discrimination Policy and under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The standard we hold ourselves to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard most widely referenced under the ADA. We measure our site against it rather than relying on an automated "accessibility widget" or overlay, because those tools do not actually make a site usable with assistive technology.

Where we stand

We audit this site against WCAG 2.1 AA and fix what we find. Recent work includes:

  • Rebuilding the navigation menu so it can be fully opened and operated with a keyboard alone, at every screen size.
  • Raising text and control contrast so content stays readable for people with low vision.
  • Correctly marking Spanish-language content so screen readers pronounce it in Spanish rather than with an English voice.
  • Adding a pause control for the moving background video on our home page.
  • Labeling icons, headings, and links so they make sense when read aloud out of context.

We are not claiming the site is perfect. Accessibility is ongoing work, and some third-party content we embed — such as the Google review widget — is not fully under our control. Where that is true, we will help you get the same information another way.
